For people currently involved in activist work, who could use a morale boost :
Resources and support —to get the job done!
Detox, to release activist burnout and discouragement. Rejuvenating inspiration for ongoing nourishment. This is based on a workshop Louise has taught for 20 years, since the beginning of the Iraq war.
If you’re feeling understandably tired, rest assured you are not alone —and that’s the point. We are in this TOGETHER. Witnessing and inspiring each other for the long haul.
Blood - heartfelt commitment to social justice
Sweat - hard work, creating the world we want to live in
Tears - releasing baggage we do NOT need to carry forward
Discouragement, grief and outrage can sometimes make it difficult to keep going with our efforts. This kind of burnout is a burden we do not need to keep carrying, as we continue with our activism. Inviting you to join us in a welcoming gathering, where you can find allies for practical solutions as well as mutual support. A place to share our optimistic visions for our future.
Louise Cloutier’s activism goes back to the student strike against the Vietnam War in 1968. She has marched and led demonstrations for a long list of social justice causes, for nearly 60 years. And she’s not done yet! Her friends call her Tigger for a reason. Louise’s current area of activism has been feminism (see the rest of the website), but social justice crosses all topics. Intersectionality is a powerful resource!
This is an inspiring time. A time of opportunity, where more and more people are eager to creating a truly just world.
Let’s do this —let’s make this happen!
